Why Presence Unknown?

I knew I wanted to do something different than tag Lexi and I on Facebook every day with locations, pictures, and video. So starting a blog kind of made sense even as cliche as that may be. At the very least, it would become a centralized spot for us to look back on our travels.

So how did I come to name the site? Well...I really didn't.

I had a lot of discussions with my coworkers about what I was doing on my trip. I knew I'd be planning some of the trips, but not all of it. As of this post, I only have 3 weeks planned out of the 6 months of travel. I know where I wanted to go, but I wanted to add some structured spontaneity. One of my coworkers, Levette, lists out a few options, one being Presence Unknown. The name fits perfectly.

So a big thanks to Levette! I'm not sure if she will be reading this as I still can't tell if she likes me or hates me (she likes me...I hope). Maybe it had something to do with me putting a bell under her chair so that every time she sat down it would ring. Sometimes I can still hear her yell, JOSHHHHH!
